Greater Sport

We are Greater Manchester's County Sports Partnership, our registered charity works with a wide range of organisations and individuals in the public, private and voluntary sector.  Covering a range of roles, all centred on getting Greater Manchester residents more active.

We inspire, we provide, we fund, we deliver and overall encourage the growth of Sport & Physical activity for this region.

We work closely with Sport England, the 10 Greater Manchester Local Authorities, National Governing Bodies of sport and a wide range of other organisations to achieve these collective aims.

We believe Sport & Physical Activity;

- Makes a significant contribution to Greater Manchester's social wellbeing and economic growth.

- Enhances lives, brings communities together and forms good sustainable lifelong habits.

- Should be promoted and celebrated for all, here in one of the greatest regions in the World for sport.

Virgin Money Giving

Virgin Money is Virgin’s innovative way of giving something back to communities all over the world, providing a platform not just for fundraising, but for real positive change.

“It’s about looking for the win:win, trying to do things that are good for business and good for someone else at the same time.”

With Get Companies active creating a program that helps out everyone involved, from employers through to staff and charities, that “Win-Win” attitude appealed to us, and we decided to set everything up with Virgin Money.

Not only does Virgin Money’s platform make keeping competitors in contact easier, it’s a great way to build up your own personal sponsorship from friends and family, ensuring our charities really benefit from your involvement, and you finish our triathlon experience with a little something extra to be truly proud of.
